We previously discussed private litigations in the U.S. real estate market. In this market, real estate agents share information about available properties for sale through a multiple listing service (MLS). By sharing this information, agents can more effectively connect home buyers with home sellers and vice versa. Although agents compete with one another, the MLS remains legal for information sharing. However, concerns often arise regarding the treatment of non-members within the MLS framework.
