In a recent case brought by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) against Google, a court affirmed that Google holds a monopoly in both the publisher ad server market and the ad exchange market. On October 27, 2025, a U.S. District Court issued a partial judgment in favor of a group of online news publishers and advertisers, enabling them to proceed without relitigating certain issues already decided in the U.S. case. This judgment indicates that the plaintiffs do not need to prove specific points that have already been established.
