Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. since its restructuring in October 2015, often faces scrutiny from competition authorities. Despite this, we continue to use the name Google because of its widespread recognition. Reports indicate that there are currently or have been over 100 competition cases against Google across 23 jurisdictions, including the U.S. and the EU. This situation prompts an examination of why Google has garnered such significant attention.
