Market Concentration
Market concentration is typically measured in terms of market shares based on a defined market. However, these shares can also be used to calculate an alternative measure of market concentration. The Herfindahl–Hirschman Index is a commonly used metric, calculated by squaring the market share of each firm and then summing the results.
