In March 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) initiated a lawsuit against Apple Inc. for engaging in anticompetitive practices that negatively impact competition in the smartphone market. Specifically, Apple had inhibited technologies that would facilitate the transition between smartphones. This post will examine the initial complaint submitted by the U.S. DOJ.
