On August 23, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) initiated a complaint against RealPage Inc. for breaching Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act. This action arose from RealPage's illegal information-sharing practices and its unlawful monopoly over the commercial revenue management software industry. The complaint received amendments on January 7, 2025, and a settlement proposal emerged on November 24, 2025.
